17th Annual North of the 45th

North of the 45th is an annual juried exhibition of artists living north of the 45th parallel in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. It highlights a diversity of artists working artists from rural and urban areas in this upper Midwest region. A new juror examines hundreds of submissions each year to shape an exhibition. This year, there were two jurors.
Shawn Powell and Annie Wischmeyer, based in Kent, Ohio, are jurors for this year’s exhibition. Powell is an artist, associate professor, and graduate coordinator at Kent State University. Wischmeyer is a curator, writer, and curatorial consultant for Curated Storefront in Akron, Ohio. Together, they run the Gazebo Gallery, bringing artists from around the country to stage ephemeral outdoor exhibitions.
